Should we merge [social-networks] and [social-media]?

I agree. I think we should merge them and use social-media as the canonical tag. They are essentially the same thing, especially with the context of how they are used on this site.

Tags - [serps] are the same as [search-results], right?

The two are similar enough to merge. I would prefer to merge serps into search-results because the former is jargon and the latter is likely to more widely understood.

Should the tags tag and the tagging tag on meta be merged?

Those tags mean the same thing and should be merged. "tags" is shorter, so it should be the canonical.
